How does Dermapen 4 Microneedling work?
Dermapen 4 is a motorised device fitted with fine needles. It moves vertically over the skin to create controlled microchannels. The needle depth and speed can be adjusted for the area being treated and the skin concern.
These microchannels start the skin’s repair process, which supports the production of collagen and elastin. As the skin renews, this can help improve the appearance of acne scars, fine lines, pigmentation, enlarged pores, uneven texture and stretch marks.
Dermapen 4 can be used on the face and body, including smaller or more delicate areas. Results develop gradually, and a course of treatments may be recommended for more visible or long-term concerns.
SQT Bio-Microneedling Treatments
SQT Bio-Microneedling can be booked as a single treatment or as a course of four. A course may be suitable when working on concerns such as congestion, scarring, pigmentation, rough texture or stretch marks.

How does SQT Bio-Microneedling work?
SQT Bio-Microneedling uses microscopic spicules derived from freshwater sponge. The spicules are massaged into the skin by hand, without using a mechanical needling device.
The spicules create tiny channels in the skin and continue to stimulate it for up to 72 hours. This supports skin-cell turnover and the skin’s natural renewal process. It can help improve the appearance of congestion, scarring, pigmentation, rough or uneven texture and stretch marks.
The skin may feel prickly or sensitive after treatment. Dryness and flaking can also occur as the skin renews over the following days.

How do I know which microneedling treatment to book?
If you’re new to microneedling or unsure which treatment suits your skin, start with a Skin Consultation. Your skin condition, treatment history, concerns and preferred downtime all need to be considered before booking.
Can I have microneedling if I have active acne?
SQT may be an option for congested or problematic skin. Dermapen 4 shouldn’t be used over an active skin infection and may not suit inflamed breakouts. Your skin should be checked before treatment.
How many microneedling treatments will I need?
One treatment may be enough for general skin maintenance. Acne scarring, pigmentation, stretch marks and uneven texture usually need a course. Dermapen 4 is available in packages of three or four, while SQT recommends four treatments for most concerns.
How far apart are microneedling treatments?
Dermapen 4 treatments are generally spaced two to eight weeks apart. The timing of SQT treatments depends on the treatment used and how your skin responds. Sangita will confirm your treatment schedule before you begin.
Does microneedling hurt?
Dermapen 4 is generally comfortable, although some areas may feel more sensitive. SQT doesn’t require numbing cream, but it can cause a prickling or tingling feeling during and after treatment.
When will I see results after microneedling?
Some clients notice an early change after one treatment. Improvements in scarring, pigmentation and texture take longer and usually build over a course. Dermapen 4 results continue to develop as collagen forms, while SQT results become clearer as the skin settles and renews.
What should I avoid after microneedling?
Avoid direct sun and follow the skincare instructions provided by Skinworks. After SQT, don’t use active skincare, serums or exfoliants for seven days. Don’t pick at dry or flaking skin.
Can microneedling be combined with LED Light Therapy or skin peels?
LED Light Therapy can be used with microneedling when it suits your skin. SQT shouldn’t be combined with glycolic or AHA peels, and at least four weeks should be left between these treatments.
Who shouldn’t have microneedling?
Your Microneedling treatment may need to be delayed if you have sunburn, an active skin infection, eczema or psoriasis in the treatment area, or a fresh scar. Let Sangita know if you’re taking Roaccutane or high-dose vitamin A, have uncontrolled diabetes, have recently had injectables, or are pregnant or breastfeeding.
