Hi, I’m Sangita, skin therapist and owner of Skinworks Clinic. I was born and raised in beautiful Fiji, and I love bringing out a bit of island radiance in everyone with my transformational and therapeutic skin treatments.
A peaceful sanctuary in central Auckland to take refuge in
I’ve aspired to owning a salon since 2005, while working as a therapist at luxury spa resorts in Fiji and practising here in New Zealand. I’m so proud to now have my own salon in the heart of Dominion Road, where we’ve created a peaceful sanctuary and where you can take refuge for as little as one hour, or for as long as a day. My clients find the central location so convenient and love all the available parking.

Anti Aging
Collagen is such a wonderful thing — it gives our skin elasticity, fullness and a healthy tone. However, as we age, collagen naturally reduces, resulting in wrinkles and saggy skin. Other factors can trigger collagen loss too – life style, diet and medication. When we design your anti aging skin treatments, all these aspects are consider. In addition to your skin treatments, we may also recommend some supplements for you to take to complement the treatments.
Our treatments for anti aging include microneedling, using the ultimate microneedling device, Dermapen 4. Microneedling creates millions of micro-channels into the skin, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin, resurfacing, retexturing and renewing the skin anywhere on the body.
Microneedling is definitely one of the greatest tools in rejuvenating aging skin.
Pigmentation Removal
Many factors can cause pigmentation (light and dark patches) of the skin. One is obviously the sun, which is particularly strong in New Zealand. However, other factors such as hormonal changes during pregnancy, certain medications, including anti depressants, and harsh chemicals in certain products can also trigger pigmentation.
At Skinworks, we can help you with pigmentation removal by reducing, maintaining and preventing further pigmentation with a number of pigmentation removal treatments. Skinworks pigmentation removal treatments range from rejuvenating Vitamin C Brightening and Lira Advance facials through to our Dermapen 4 microneedling, or a combination of these. Microneedling treatment helps break down the pigmentation by puncturing the skin and stimulating collagen growth.
Microneedling
Microneedling using Dermapen 4 is the wonder antidote for fixing a multitude of skins, including fine lines, wrinkles, acne scarring, stretch marks, enlarged pores, rosacea, pigmentation, hair loss and more. After a course of microneedling you will enjoy improved skin texture, restored elasticity, softer lines, increased skin tightness and a reduction in the appearance of scarring and stretch marks.

Acne Scar Treatment
Acne scarring is particularly problematic for teenagers, but older people can suffer from this too. Hormonal imbalance is a leading cause, but life style, diet and even cleansing frequency and techniques can result in acne. The severity of the acne will affect the type of scarring, and Skinworks Clinic will consider all these factors when designing your acne scar treatment.
Skinworks Clinic’s acne scar treatment includes the amazing Dermapen 4 microneedling, to help collagen growth in recessed scars, and our luxurious and relaxing Lira Advance and Deep Cleansing facials really help treat the actual acne.
LED Light Therapy is also a gentle and non-invasive treatment to help repair and rejuvenate damaged cells and it can also help remove acne bacteria.
We may also recommend some supplements to you, to complement the acne scar treatment or general acne treatment.
Facial Hair Removal
Skinworks Clinic offers facial hair removal with our DermaPlaning treatment for fine vellus hair (peach fuzz), which laser, IPL and electrolysis therapies cannot remove.
